If the settings are not on, follow the recommendations.
Windows did not find antivirus software on my computer. *Note: Windows does not detect all antivirus programs.
*Note: Windows won’t monitor my virus protection status and won’t send me alerts if it is off or out of date. I was recommended that I install security software to help protect my computer from viruses and other security threats, and that I keep security software up to date.
*Important: Before I install antivirus software, check to make sure I don’t already have an antivirus product on my computer. If I do, be sure to remove the product I don’t want before I install the new one. Because it can cause problems on my computer to have two different antivirus products installed at the same time.
